Roles ​

Roles represent the duties and responsibilities delegated to each player on a map.
They provide structure to your strategies and ensure that everyone knows their tasks during the round.

Each map has 5 roles per side (Terrorist and Counter-Terrorist).
Roles are predefined when you register on the platform, but you can customize them to suit your team’s needs.

Role Categories ​

There are three types of roles available on the platform:

  • Positional Roles

    • Map-based.
    • Can be assigned to players inside a team.
    • Provide consistency across maps (e.g., Anchor, Rotator, Entry).

  • Spawn-Based Roles

    • Not map-based.
    • Depend on the player’s spawn location in the specific round.
    • Cannot be assigned to players, since they change dynamically.

  • Custom Roles

    • Created when entering a role name while creating a Strategy.
    • Flexible and team-specific, useful for unique tactics or temporary duties.

Managing Roles ​

You can manage and personalize roles by navigating to the Roles page from the left sidebar, then click Manage.

Customization ​

  • Rename Roles – adjust role names to match your team’s terminology.
  • Assign to Players – for team workspaces, you can assign each role to a specific player on each map.

Strategy Roles ​

Every strategy you create in the Playbook can include assigned roles.
On the Roles page, you can view, search, and filter these Strategy Roles across all your strats.

Filtering ​

On the left side of the Roles page, you can filter your Strategy Roles to quickly find what you need.

  • Role Category
    • Custom
    • Positional
    • Spawn-Based

WARNING

All of the following filters are related to the strategy itself:

  • Map
  • Side
  • Type
  • Area
  • Tags
  • Pro Team
  • Status

You can also search roles by entering strat name, as well as sorting by strat date added, date edited, name and map.

Display Options ​

The Roles page offers two viewing modes:

  • Rich Display – shows detailed information about each role’s duties, nades, weapons, and callouts.
  • Accordion Display – compact view for faster browsing.
